DESCRIPTION:[ Register for the Zoom webinar by clicking here. ] \nVaYU\, the 1st  Yoga University outside India located in Los Angeles\, USA\, is delighted to offer its 7th Distinguished Speaker Series Webinar of 2025 with the following exciting virtual session on July 19th\, 2025. \n  \nTitle: Vedantic Knowledge and Quantum Physics\nWhen: Saturday July 19th\, 6pm PST (US & Canada) \nSpeaker: Dr. Subhash Kak \n  \nAbstract: Vedanta and Quantum Physics\, though arising from different traditions (ancient Indian philosophy and modern science\, respectively)\, share intriguing parallels\, particularly regarding the nature of reality and the role of consciousness. Both systems suggest a fundamental unity underlying apparent diversity\, and both touch upon the idea that reality is not as solid and objective as it might seem. The talk will summarize the essentials of Vedanta and Quantum Physics and show how they are philosophically identical. \n \nSPEAKER BIO: Prof. Subhash Kak is a scientist and historian who is Regents Professor at Oklahoma State University in Stillwater\, OK\, USA. He was born in Srinagar and he has held visiting appointments in Britain and Australia. His research includes AI and history and philosophy of science. His work has been showcased in the popular media such as Discovery and History channels\, PBS\, Public TV in Europe\, and in several documentaries on science and art. He is the author of thirty books of which the most recent is Eternal Bharat: Truth\, Meaning\, and Beauty.
