DESCRIPTION:Register for the Open House and find more details. \nVaYU\, the 1st Yoga University outside India located in Los Angeles\, USA\, is delighted to offer its 11th Distinguished Speaker Series Webinar of 2025 with the following exciting virtual session on Saturday\, November 15\, 2025  9:00AM PST \nTitle: Osteoporosis and Peace – Intersections of Yoga Therapy\, Science and World-Peace \nSpeaker: Loren Fishman\, MD\, B.Phil.\,(oxon.) Columbia University Medical School \n \nYoga Therapy is a wholistic evidence-based modality for prevention and reversal of chronic diseases. At the musculo–skeletal level\, certain yoga poses have already been shown to raise bone mineral density\, and thus prevent fractures. New research from scientific studies shows even better effects of slow\, conscious yogic practices. This session will show how this can be done. Yoga’s second intersection is where the age-old yogic goal of peace finds new and promising methods in social science for individual and world-peace.
