Born in Goa to an Army Officer father, and the family of maternal grandfather who served in Indian Navy and paternal grandfather who served in Indian Airforce, Ms. Shweta Singh spent most of her schooling years at Kendriya Vidyalaya and pursued BSc (Physics) from Fergusson College, Pune and MBA from Osmania University, Hyderabad. She also completed her MPhil from School of Management Studies, Tata Institute of Social Sciences (TISS) Mumbai. She has more than 10 years of cumulative work experience in both the public sector as well as private sector in the domain of Human Resources. In her previous assignments, she worked as an Investment Officer at Goa Investment Promotion and Facilitation Board, a Government of Goa initiative. Subsequently, she  worked as an Associate Manager at Capacity Building Commission – nodal agency for implementing Mission Karmayogi (National Programme for Civil Services Capacity Building)  under the Prime Minister’s HR Council and spearheaded crucial projects related to various aspects of policy and governance.

Few of her notable achievements include – Child Scientist Award at 86th Indian Science Congress, Gold Medallist (Badminton) at KVS Zonal Games (South Zone) and NCC ‘C’ Certificate. She was also a Core Committee Member both at TISS Literature Festival 2018 as well as National Online Youth Convention of Chinmaya Mission Yuva Kendra held in 2020. She is a proud and privileged participant of India Foundation’s Kautilya Fellow Programme 2019 and humble recipient of Chanakya Award at Vision India Foundation’s Policy Boot Camp 2018 and Shri C. Subramaniam Award for Excellence in Character by Bhartiya Vidya Bhavan.
