YMS 411CP: C-IAYT Clinical Practicum -Residency@Arogyadhama (4 Weeks) (0:3)

Arogyadhama is a world renowned Integrative medicine hospital that provides care for its patients by using Yoga therapy as the primary modality led by Dr Nagarathna, VaYU faculty and pioneer in the field of Yoga Therapy.

Students learn hands-on Yoga Therapy techniques, while observing Integrative Medicine practice under the tutelage of Dr. Nagarathna and her team.

Spend 4-weeks at Arogyadhama as a Yoga Therapy intern.

  • Upon returning home, Students work with 3 t o 5 Yoga Therapy clients for a total of 50 hours under the mentorship of VaYU faculty. 
    • At least 30 hours are technique delivery/monitored practice hours. 
    • Remaining hours are a combination of client counseling, review, and course correction.
    • At least 3 and no more than 5 clients.
    • No less than 10 hrs of engagement with each client.
    • For each client, no more than 3 months elapsed time between client intake and completion of therapy 
    • Students have to submit report for each client as approved by VaYU faculty.

Note: Only one of the YMS 411XP courses is required to be taken by MS (Yoga) graduates interested in acquiring Certificate of International Association of Yoga Therapist (C-IAYT).
