He began working in nonprofit management as the Chief Financial Officer for Bethel New Life in 1991. From 1998 to 2001, Dhiren led the financial team at Francis W. Parker School as the Chief Financial Officer. After a long stint as a strategic and financial consultant, Dhiren joined Chicago Commons in 2010. He has been in this role for the last seven years navigating the agency through the state budget crisis over the last two years.

His educational background includes a bachelor’s degree in business from the University of Bombay received in 1979 and he is a Certified Public Accountant and a Certified Management Accountant. Dhiren is a member of the Illinois CPA Society, Treasurer for Back Office Cooperative and serves as an Advisory Board Member for Sewa International.
