Sonali Shambus is an accomplished tech leader with 25 years of experience, having held CTO and VP roles in major companies, including Square [Nasdaq: SQ], and serving as a trusted advisor to startups and venture capital firms. She is a distinguished board member for AvidXChange [Nasdaq: AVDX], actively contributing to the Risk, Compensation, Audit, and M&A committees. She also previously served as an independent board member for Commonbond, a Series D fintech startup, where she guided strategic scaling initiatives. Additionally, Sonali manages her own consulting firm, helping startups with growth strategies, scaling operations, securing funding, and expanding their market presence.

A dedicated yoga practitioner for over a decade, Sonali became a certified yoga teacher in 2020, driven by her passion for yoga’s transformative impact on physical and emotional well-being. She actively advocates for yoga’s potential to create a healthier world, which inspired her involvement with Vivekananda Yoga University (VaYU).

Sonali holds a Master of Science in Computer Engineering from Rutgers University, certifications from UC Berkeley, a Master’s Certificate in Management from The George Washington School of Business, and a Bachelor’s in Electronics Engineering from the College of Engineering Pune. Originally from Pune, Maharashtra, she now lives in the San Francisco Bay Area with her husband, two daughters, and her mother.
